Rules

Objective

Build your own dream team following the rules below. Each athlete of your dream team will earn points after each individual race (Sprint, Middle and Long — no Mass Start this year) and team race (Relay) of the 2026 WMTBOC. The team that collects the most points at the end of the championship wins!

Rules to follow

1. 3+3 riders: your team must be composed of 6 athletes = 3 men + 3 women.
2. 6 nations: your team must be composed of athletes from 6 different countries. You cannot have more than one rider from each country.
3. 30 stars: the total value of your team cannot exceed 30 stars.

Athlete prices

Athlete prices have been established regarding individual level, strength and expectations for this championship. No other factor has been considered — neither the level of an athlete's national team, nor whether they'll take part in every race. It's up to you to determine your best team according to your knowledge. Note that, as there are more men than women competing, women's prices are slightly higher on average.

Tip: some athletes might not take part in every race — some don't have a relay team, others focus on races that suit them well. They'll score 0 points on races they skip, but may score big on others!

Individual race points

Each place on the podium sets a 5-point difference, 4-point difference in the top 6, 3-point difference in the top 10, 2-point difference in the top 15, and finally 1-point difference after, until 70th place.

Team (relay) race points

Each place in the scratch relay result (every team — 2, 3 and mixed nations — is considered) sets a 5-point difference for the 3 riders of the team, until 20th place.
